Hartmut Makowka

Born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany in 1959. He lives in Duesseldorf, Germany, where he works as an artist and teacher for art.For Contact please mail to : colour was freed in the beginning of the 20th century of its bondage to ojective painting, it is getting more and more topic and content of the painting itself in modern art. And also in the current development of painting colour is still a central theme which often comes along with the issue of the limits of painting and the concept of picture. However, Hartmut Makowka chooses for himself a more classic path, where colour is an expression of inner emotional situations or inner pictures and becomes effective as emotional energy in intuitive, (physically) expressive pictures. It is therefore the strenght of colour which impresses us first and creates a certain emotional response.
