Hazen Lopez Gaona

I was born in Mexico, that’s where my artistic side started to develop at the age of 6 years old. I then immigrated to the USA when I was 15. I lived in Italy and Germany, but currently I reside in the Netherlands.
Traveling and seeing so many cultures has opened my eyes to different points of view and has also changed the way my art has unfolded.
I enjoy painting with acrylic and oils, but after living in Italy I started to appreciate watercolors and now I mainly create mixed media on paper with a combination of ink and watercolor. My subjects are mainly social and political issues concerning women’s and children’s rights.
