Heidi Koenig-Hill

I was born and educated in Heilbronn, Germany. At 23 I decided to go travelling and after nearly 2 years and having found an english boyfriend in Australia, I settled in the UK. I pursued my passion in art and after a Foundation course I studied Fine Art Printmaking in Brighton, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art Printmaking at the Slade in London. Since then I have made my living as an artist.
Now living and working near Dartmoor and the sea, most of my inspiration now starts here. Whether it is the colour of a field in the distance, a cloud formation, or a rusty crane in a disused quarry, I find a lot of my inspiration while out exploring with my dog. Previously having travelled to India, Australia and Asia, the colours and experiences there are also still deeply ingrained in my visual memory and appear regularly in my art. My work can be found in numerous worldwide private collections. Corporate Collections include : Cromwell Hospital, Bank of England, Goldman Sachs, British Telecom, Mercedes Benz, Isle of Man Arts Council, John Lewis PLC, Ejiri hospital, Tokyo, Sony Corporation and The Dorchester.
