Visual Artist, Oil Painter. Reckless world traveler, Helen Sviderskis loves painting and works primarily in oil in the impressionist style.
Helen Sviderskis was born in Moscow, Russia, who is now an American citizen and makes her home in Miami, Florida.
A lifetime fine artist, Helen pursued a successful career in paintings restoration and conservation before turning to paint full time. She gains inspiration from her tours of Europe and, most recently, from her local scenes of beautiful and colorful Florida. Helen says, "I enjoy creating artworks using the observation of nature and inspiration from the bottom of my soul. Each painting is the consequence of extensive working process; each painting brought into life during the creative activity; each artwork is full of my heart and soul. In my works, I love to paint subjects which express peace, beauty, and sense of well-being in our souls, as well as brings light and color in our lives".
Helen Sviderskis received her art education at the Center for the Conservation of Fine Arts named after Academician Grabar, as well as in private workshops of famous art professors in Moscow. In addition to her career as a painter, she was a fine art conservator. She studied painting methods by copying remarkable ancient frescoes, Russian icons, and paintings. Knowledge gained in old painting methods allowed her to evolve a technique that enriches her paintings and present her subject in an aura of light, vibrant color, and freshness. She continued her art education by participating in seminars of the National Portrait Society and attending lectures in a Master Class in the League of Art Students in New York.
Helen participated in many art exhibitions in Russia and USA. Her commendable skill, talent, and her ability to bring to life each work made her paintings very desirable and are in private and official collections around the world.
