Helena Park

I am a recent BA Fine Art graduate from Falmouth University. I am a practicing print-maker in the U.K.
My work is rooted in figuration although there is often an anthropomorphic quality to the figures I draw. I take much inspiration from symbolism and like to weave in cultural and religious iconography from a diverse range of sources from medieval church carvings to South American Rock art.
Story-telling is central to why I make art as it is a way of transforming events from my own life and melding them with existing tales or histories to create a multi-layered image.
