Liu Helong

I am from China and have been engaged in art for more than 40 years. I am a self-taught freelance artist. During this period, I have gone from realism to freehand brushwork, from figurative to abstract, from color to line. All of them have left me with a profound understanding of life and beauty. Looking back on my life, art has long been no profession, but the way I inhabit this world. It has taught me to see, to feel, to touch eternity in impermanence, and to appreciate infinity in finitude. My achievements may not lie in the number of awards I have won or the number of exhibitions I have held, but in the fact that I have spent my life sincerely facing the canvas and myself. My work is my diary, my autobiography, tender and firm evidence of my existence. In the last blank, I would like to leave this sentence: I have never created beauty, I am just a witness and transmitter of beauty. That's enough.

I used to have professional teachers from the Department of Chinese Painting of Hubei Academy of Fine Arts and the Printmaking Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and more teachers than others
