Herbie Wiersma

Herbie Wiersma is a printmaker living in Newark on Trent. Being in the heart of England allows access to some of the most varied and beautiful landscapes on the island, as well as the cultural capitals of Europe.

With many years’ experience of freelance work and teaching, in tangible and digital media, Herbie maintains a passion for drawing and design. Taking inspiration from the landscape, people and objects around him and balancing precariously on the shoulders of giants such as the Greek potters, Kyoshi Saito and Sybil Andrews, Herbie endeavours to make high quality imagery which reflects the pleasure taken in its creation.
