Hijack Artist

A provocative street artist, HiJack creates work that lifts people from the ordinary course of their daily lives and re-connects them with their raw desires. He is perhaps best known for his Cat series, which features recognizable feline forms that have become his signature image. From his beginnings in Los Angeles, the artist HiJack has made a name for himself in the underground scene and has showcased his work as far afield as the UK, France, and Japan.

The artist HiJack has earned recognition as one of culture website L.A. Taco's Top 10 Street Artists for 2015, an honor that he received for the exterior brick wall that he created for Snakepit Alehouse on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. The wall also appeared on the cover of LA Weekly's Best of LA publication. Since that time, he has received commissions to develop wall installations for the Belmont Restaurant and interior murals for the Petty Cash Taqueria.

Also a creator of art on canvas, HiJack has presented his work in galleries worldwide, including Artvera Gallery in Switzerland and the Mead Carney fine art gallery of London. He now also creates three-dimensional images from shattered glass, which communicate the raw and honest aesthetic for which he is best known.
