I think art should make you happy. I think you should smile or cry when you look at a painting or drawing. That means it moves you. I was raised by my great grandmother, who always supported my dreams. We were really poor, but not in a way that mattered. We were rich with family, love, dreams, and that is what I feel when I draw or paint. I am a self-taught artist, but I do feel that learning about other artist work is important. I have always drawn or painted but never really "put them out there" until recently, when my best friend said I should share with the world. I am a hippie, loving everyone unconditionally, no exclusions, and I am a proud tree hugger. I am also a country girl, and a long time beach fan. If you see me during the summer, it will usually be drawing on the beach. Sand between my toes and peace in my mind, I can create and just be me.

Colors amaze me. They revive me, inspire me, create the symphony of my life. I paint in vibrant colors because I like to brighten the atmosphere. Much like a smile, I think a picture or painting can transform a person's mood. I have always loved to paint and create, and for many years left my passion behind.
