Holly Tharp

I am from Cleveland, MS... the heart of the Mississippi Delta... birthplace of the blues. I have owned my own business where I sold original artwork and handmade items. I also worked at a local gallery for a short time but have since worked for a company that runs multiple regional publications, an ad agency, and a web design company.

I received my BFA from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS where I was President of Kappa Pi International Art Honor Society as well as committee chair for numerous student art exhibitions. My concentration was photography and my cognate was drawing. I spent a summer abroad in Florence, Italy studying figure drawing at the Charles Cecil Studios. I received the Sylvain Klauss Memorial Award in drawing, and had multiple photographs published including the cover of the student art and literature publication called The Confidante.
