I have more of a traditional illustrative artist background. Did not start painting abstract till about 2002. I currently paint mainly abstract. Open air even. I believe in capturing the essence of a subject still but as I see how my painting style reflects me more now I choose abstract. A flowing type of appeal is what Im usually after.

I was educated in Cleveland, Ohio by Mrs. Tennor our high school art teacher who was extremely talented and giving with her lessons. We all have conferred now that we are grown that we learned more from Mrs. Tennor in high school than anything that came close in college. Of course high school was more of the basics but those basics were advanced more so for us. After high school I went into the Air force where I served in NewMexico during the Grenada conflict. I then went on to obtain a degree in Graphic Design at The Illinois Institute of Art Chicago. I found very little work in the field and returned to traditional fine art. I then trained myself how to illustrate with color using acrylics. My newest step is to apply oil even with acrylic but with a more abstract result. Im using fast drying medium with my oils to for a runny affect.
