Hongxi Xiong

I was born in Fujian, China, and both undergraduate and graduate students are studying in Beijing.
After graduation, I chose a nomadic lifestyle, living and painting in Tibet, Nepal, Thailand, Serbia, Albania and someplace.Currently living in Stockholm, Sweden.
I am willing to use painting to record some fragments of life, follow my fate.

2014-2017 MinZu University of China, Fine Art (Traditional Chinese painting) Master of Fine Art

2015-2016 Chinese Cultural University (Taiwan), as an exchange student (postgraduate)

2012 In July, I went with my professor Qin Xiujie to Inner Mongolia to visit and painted.

In November, I created the series "Shout" and participated in the 2012 Academy
Exhibition of MinZu University of China（Beijing）

2014 In May, my work “Silent” was exhibited in the undergraduate graduation in
Beijing.

In October, I followed my artist professor MaiXinmin to visit the ancient Yungang
Grottoes in Shanxi area and visited some ancient museums.

2015 In January, A five-person academic exhibition “Secret” was held by four other female
members and myself.

June-August, Arrived in Lhasa, Tibet with Jinzhen where we created a two-person
exhibition “The Outside”.

In September, I went to Chinese Culture University in Taiwan as an exchange student. In
December, my calligraphy work "Not a Passerby" was accepted by the magazine of
Chinese Culture University for permanent use as a magazine title.
