Hugo Ortiz

Hugo Ortiz (Mexico 1980) began his training in 1994 with free workshops taught drawing by José Luis Cuevas Morelense Center for the Arts, later in 2003 completed his studies at the Bachelor of Arts from the University the State of Morelos. He has held five solo exhibitions and more than fifteen group in New York, Puebla, Queretaro, Veracruz, Morelos, Guerrero and Jalisco. It has now been invited to exhibit their work at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and works as a graphic editorial in La Jornada Morelos, also participated in various performances and auction to benefit civil associations that support the most vulnerable of the population. According to Javier Sicilia, Hugo Ortiz is "a painter who reveals the reality of myth and belief." His proposal plastic questions of individual identity and collective identity that asks about what are we? and who are we?
