Lauralee Hutson

My artwork is heavily influenced by nature but speaks to human interpersonal interactions that transcend time and place. It seeks to communicate universal human stories that draw on the viewer's own experiences, while morphing some of the universality to force a fresh look at ourselves.

I possess a Bachelor of Fine Art in metals, a BS and an MS equivalent medical internship and am pursuing my MFA. I teach sculpture and 3D design at the college level as well as humanities.Work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, published internationally in 2009 by Lark Books and will be published again in 2011. It has been used to promote an art show in New York City and has been exhibited by the Society of North American Goldsmiths and the Enamelist Society, amongst other exhibitions.
