Having studied Fine Art at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. My work is directly influenced by life’s experiences. I strive constantly to explore my subject through an understanding of both form, composition and abstract harmonisation.

Ian Ellis has exhibited widely. In 2002 his work was on display in an exhibition entitled ‘Serious Pleasure’ at the prestigious Modigliani Centre, Florence, Italy. Whilst living in Oxford, he helped curate numerous exhibitions including “Love was on Your Side’, a collection of work by artist Tracey Emin at the Sewell Centre Art Gallery, Radley, Oxfordshire. During a three year postgraduate Diploma in painting at the Royal Academy Schools in London, he was awarded the esteemed Landseer Gold medal for painting. His work features in numerous private collections both in the UK and worldwide.
