Iris Slock

1962 Born in Ossenisse, The Netherlands.
1995 till 1998 lived and worked in Italie.
Currently I live and work in Venlo, (Nl).

I get inspired by life itself. The smallest events can already stimulate me to make sketches. Several sketches can be the start of a new painting.
During painting world music is my companion. I love African dance and art, warm earth colors, warm-hearted people, positivity, enjoying life.

Themes: Love, dreams, humans with/or without animals.

With my paintings I want to give you a good feeling. A little bit of Iris.

I use acrylic and many materials such as gel medium, gesso, sand, chalk, charcoal, coffee etc. for extra structure. My work is built up in multiple layers.

I paint on canvas, mixed techniques on paper, digital works and jewellery.
