**Isabel Alonso**
**Multidisciplinary Artist**
Born in Vigo, where she currently lives and works, Isabel Alonso holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo (2002), specializing in Sculpture. She began her artistic practice at the EMAO in Vigo, initially focusing on painting.
Her professional career started in 1999, while still a student at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra. That same year, she was selected to participate in the 66th *Salón de Otoño* of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors (Madrid) with a sculptural piece, as well as in the 16th Cambre Painting Competition (A Coruña). She also collaborated in the creation of the *Isla de Esculturas* in Pontevedra as an assistant to renowned British artist Richard Long, one of the leading figures of international Land Art.
Since then, she has developed an intense artistic and research practice from her studio in Vigo. Over more than twenty-five years of career, she has been selected in numerous competitions and exhibitions, including *Novos Valores* (Pontevedra), *Isaac Díaz Pardo* (A Coruña), *Ángel Andrade* (Ciudad Real), *Cidade de Lugo* (Lugo), *Bienal Pintor Laxeiro* (Lalín), and the *Realismos*, *Flores*, and *Solo Arte* contests (Mad...

Her work has been included in numerous group exhibitions in Spain and Portugal, in cities such as Vigo, Pontevedra, Santiago, A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense, León, Madrid, and Gaia. She has also taken part in several art fairs and biennials, including *Bienal de Gaia*, *Onda Bienal em Cerveira* (Fórum Cultural de Cerveira, Portugal), and will soon participate in *VARCO Art Fair 2025* (Vigo) and *Culturgal 2025*.
