Jackelyn Bickell

Jackelyn is a multidisciplinary artist with a passion for three dimensional mixed media design. She incorporates textiles, dyes, ceramics, and woodwork in her workflow.

Her modern silk tapestries are each one of a kind pieces that create an impression of sophistication and unrestricted movement. They are an invitation to look beyond the traditional and enjoy beauty in a new and compelling way.

Jackelyn’s process consists of releasing control over final outcomes and focusing on each unique development as it comes. Using natural dye stuffs such as botanicals, plant matter, minerals, non-toxic metals and food waste, she considers her tapestries to quite literally be alive through these sustainable dying methods and how each piece of art has the ability to move freely.
