Jacqueline Clarisse

I am a self-taught artist, I have always loved drawing animals, my passion for dogs comes from my family, my father was a Bouvier des flandres and Doberman breeder. A whippet currently shares my life. I am specializing in Sighthound portraits done with pastel, but I don’t limit myself and I'm always pleased to draw other animals. My aim is to pass on the emotion and personality of each animal.

Jacqueline Clarisse's career has been marked by several prestigious accolades in the field of animal art. In 2020, she became a semi-finalist in the 15th Art Renewal Center competition with her painting "Victoria" in the "Animals" category, and she also secured 6th place at the American Art Awards for her realistic work on animals.

Among her other awards, she received "Highly Commended" at the annual exhibition of the Association of Animal Artists in England in 2016, an "Honorable Mention" at the international animal art competition by the online gallery "Light Space and Time" in the United States in 2015, as well as "Special Merit" and "Special Recognition" in the same competition in 2014. In 2011, she was a finalist in the International David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year competition in England.

Personal exhibition at the 4-star Hotel l'Aréna, Fréjus: From February 3 to March 30, 2020, Jacqueline had the opportunity to showcase her works at this prestigious hotel in Fréjus.

Personal exhibition at the Villa Aurélienne, Fréjus: From July 15 to 28, 2019, Jacqueline exhibited her works at the Villa Aurélienne, a historical venue in the city of Fréjus.

Annual Exhibition of the Association of Animal Artists, Castle Park Arts Centre, Frodsham, Cheshire, England: Jacqueline participated several times in this annual exhibition, notably in 2019 (from April 5 to May 15), 2018 (from March 30 to May 13), 2017 (from April 8 to May 14), and 2016 (from April 8 to May 15).
