The work of Jacqueline Verhaagen reflects on the phenomenon of perception and hidden layers of reality. She mainly works on art projects for public spaces. The work has a comtemplative caracter and appeals to the sensitivity of the spectator. It causes moments of beauty and wondering. Light, reflection, optical illusion, color and movement are important visual media that she uses. Verhaagen often works in relation to water.
