Jaemin Lee

Jae Min Lee studied in Daegu and Russia, where the realist approach is strong. Perhaps, this is why she rejected the way many contemporary artists take photos and then represent. Instead, she has always faced herself in a possibly dangerous situation once. She was sketching a landscape in Russia and, naturally, had her easel outdoors. As night fell, she was unable to tear herself away from the captivating scene that was unfolding in front of her and began to capture the night on her canvas. However, there are young Russian men who dislike foreigners and a gang of such accosted her causing her to flee for her personal safety. Nothing could come between her and her passion for painting.

Lee Jaemin is an artist full of passion. So much so that she came to doubt the type of painting that sought to perfectly represent their subjects or the idea that paintings had to show an artist's train if thought.
