Jay Sota

Jay Sota is a self-taught artist born in '94. Art has become a vessel of exploration and understanding of the world. Based between London & Venice, his practice is continuous as he looks to dissolve the borders between art & life, the conscious & subconscious. As a designer for a majority of his working career, the way people experience and engage with their surroundings is significant to the studios practice. Believing that it is with the creative process that new methods of living can be found. Art is an integral part in understanding the world around us and can be used as a pillar of its development.
The environment is of significance and his practice allows for collaboration from all areas of creative input. Looking to challenge his practice, and develop skills in the greater realms of art. With this knowledge he aims to enrich his surroundings in thoughtful art.
