Jay Meyer

Jay Meyer (b. 1980) is a Canadian contemporary abstract artist and intern-architect living and working in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. His artwork explores various subject matters through a highly process-based practice. His interest in discovery and exploration can perhaps be attributed to his Architectural education with respect to the concept of representation, or abstraction of an idea. Exploration in his work is evident in the unique details that appear in his paintings. His work is held in several private collections in Canada and he is a member of the Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria (CACGV).
