Jenny Shrew

I grew up in Southern California and graduated with an Economics degree from UCLA. After three years of working in a stifling corporate enviroment, I was laid off and decided to pursue my passion for art. I am a self taught acrylic painter. I have been painting for one year, and my work primarily focuses on the beauty that is inherently found in the human form as well as nature. A lot of my paintings combine the two.

I believe that art not is not only therapeutic for the artist, but that good art elevates the mood of the viewer and the space it is in, and can often provide a quick moment of escape. My main intent is to create art that others can enjoy as a visual experience. I would say my work has simplicity, grace, and vibrant colors.
