Jenny Van Gimst

Jenny is a Belgian artist trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (KASKA) and HISK. Her work combines contemporary realism with a strong commitment to craft. She paints from traditional technique, focusing on precision, light, and layered detail. As a sculptor, she creates realistic, anatomically grounded figures, carved with sensitivity and physical presence.

I trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where craftsmanship formed the foundation of my practice. The focus on technique, precision, and material understanding shaped the way I paint and sculpt today. That education taught me to work slowly, attentively, and with respect for tradition, allowing each work to grow from skill, intention, and a deep commitment to the craft.
