Jeremia Runturambi

Jeremia Runturambi is a painter from Indonesia. He was initially painting in a Neo-expressionistic style, but to find his visual language, he then slowly developed his energetic color palette and playful imagery aesthetic inspired by British Pop Art and Abstract Expressionism painters such as Patrick Caulfield, Derek Boshier, Frank Stella, Willem de Kooning, and Hans Hofmann. However, he adopted the use of black lines to bordered flat forms of color came from French Cloisonnism, a Post-Impressionist movement. Most of Runturambi's paintings unveil his bustling mind amidst the mundane life, and somehow simultaneously feel enigmatic.
