Jill Sans

I am a painter who interprets the unseen into reality through geometric vibrations expressed through illuminations and symbolism. My art creates poetic visual stories and talismans, combining styles of structured lines to free flowing representations of the natural world. Light and colors are the foundation of my work, I am inspired deeply by the natural world. This lends itself to creating energetic living pieces of art through the play of color, form and the relationship between hues.

Painting is a place for me to sit down and focus, my artwork is an interpretation of a living experience, it is an internal response to my external world. When it begins to take shape in my mind there is a strong desire in my heart to create that which I feel.

Working with acrylics and mixed media on various surfaces such as walls, canvas, wood and repurposed objects. I find versatility with the way I see my art and how my hand moves as I paint. This gives me freedom to create bold or subtle pieces, and gives my work flexibility, which allows me to create from the pure place of expression.
