Jorge Labarca

Architect since 1956 , worked in Concepcion until 1980 , when he left his studio and enterprice in hands of his partners , to realize his will of becoming a painter .
He is a visual artist fulltime since then, and ocasionaly did sculpture for two years
His paintings may be described as : - abstract , color primacy, synthetic expression
variations on a same theme , spiritual and musical manifestation . " premio Municipal de arte de Cocepcion 1984 " and " premio Colegio de Arquitectos - a la trayectoria - año 2011 . Founded " Galería de los Ocho " in 2004 and has done about 40 oneman shows . Born in Santiago de Chile in 1931 , married to Carmen Wernekinck , three sons , all alive .
