Judith Motzkin

Born in 1954 in New York State, artist Judith Motzkin lives and works in Cambridge MA in an old horse barn converted to a studio and has her kilns on Cape Cod. She travels and works in China as well.

Judith is well known for her polished natural finish ceramic vessels, mixed media assemblage and digital prints. Her inspirations draw from native American technique, Asian sensibility, and spirituality of nature.

Judith studied Asian Studies (Chinese History, Mandarin, Art) at Cornell University and studied at the Museum School in Boston. Her work has been shown at the Fuller Museum, gallery shows. It is in the permanent collections at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Danforth Museum, Crocker Museum of Art and Jingdezhen Ceramics Museum in China. ,
