John Woody

I was born, and reared, in the Deep South. My mother taught art at Samford University. I am now in my 70’s. Even though I have lived in California for more than 30 years, I continue to draw upon what I believe to be a “southern” approach to color, and texture. I now live in Palm Springs and many of my favorite paintings, of mine, are in local galleries. My paintings are in collections from the Deep South to the Pacic Northwest. I continue to paint every day.
