Jonas Holmstrand

I am a self-taught artist who started my course at sea as a sea captain. For 20 years I traveled around the world both in service and in my spare time and learned from different adventures and gained insight into different cultures. The creative vein initially expressed itself as music and poetry but after landing in the mountain village of Soller, an art mecca in Mallorca, it began to express itself in color and form and since that day there has been a playful dance with the brush.
In recent years I have been seduced by the enchanting beautiful west coast of Sweden where I also grew up. I have regular exhibitions and are inspired apart from nature and in meetings with people from the joy of accepting and loving myself. The joy of being is expressed on the canvas and the soul can exhale.
As I see it, the work of art is accomplished only by a viewer who becomes co-creator through his imagination and his feelings for the piece of art.
