Josefina De Leon Sorhuet

Uruguayan visual artist currently based in Montevideo. Graduated in Communication Sciences, specialized in Interior Design, and holding a Master’s degree in Art Direction — a passionate creative in all its forms.
Josefina has developed artistic projects for international brands such as Qatar Tourism, Santander, Adidas, Kotex, Dior, Nivea, and Sodimac, among others.
In 2021, she opened her first gallery in Punta del Este, Maldonado, and later that same year launched a second space in Montevideo’s District M, where she offered art courses and curated several exhibitions.
In 2022, she moved to Barcelona to pursue a Master’s in Art Direction at the Escola Superior de Disseny de Barcelona and attended art courses at Metàfora: Studio Arts. That same year, Qatar Tourism invited her to represent Uruguay through her art during the World Cup.
Now back in Montevideo, she is focused on expanding her art globally. With more than 350 pieces sold worldwide, Josefina is in a moment of creative flow, energy, and motivation, continuing to grow and inspire through her artistic journey.
