Josh Adjetey Akpor , is a young contemporary artist born in Greater Accra-Ghana. Josh Has always shown interest in drawing and painting since childhood . At age 16 he was opened to more art world where he became to focus more on art than ever.

His artworks incorporates conceptual strategies and methodologies. His creative project projects are contextual and situational, exploring issues of power and control. The contemporary conceptualizations of the body as the field of emotional conflict. The power agents the mediate in the construction of identity and systematic production of otherness and invisibilities . Far from being just a painter , he finds himself in the position of the image maker and visual storyteller . Believing that art means a lot, and by challenging its boundaries. He arrays the dynamics of painting to produce visual metaphors for “reality” which mainly questions, critique, comment , rearrange and/or reconstruct it. What He finds most challenging in the medium of painting is the possibility of associating fiction with reality .
