Jovan I. Rakidžić, painter and a full time professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad
Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts Beograd in 1968, and completed the post-graduate studies at the same Faculty in 1970.
Rakidžić has staged more than fifty solo exhibitions.
The most distinguished ones have been presented: in Belgrade at the Culture Center Gallery in 1977, 1984,1999 and in 2001, at the National Museum Salon in Zrenjanin in 1977, at the Gallery of the Culture Center “Olga Petrov“ in Pančevo in 1981, at the Gallery of the Culture-Information Center in Stuttgart in 1987, at the Gallery of the Culture-Information Center in Vienna 1988, the “ULUS” Gallery in Beograd and at the Art Gallery “Nadežda Petrović“ in Čačak 1991, the Modern Gallery in Zrenjanin, “Terra“ Gallery in Kikinda 1992, at the National Museum Gallery in Sombor 1994, at the “Zepter“ Gallery Beograd 1996, at the City Gallery in Užice 2001, the National Museum Gallery in Vranje 2002, “Haos” Gallery Beograd 2003, at the Branch of SANU (Serbian Academy of Science and Arts) Gallery in Novi Sad 2001 and 2011, the Gallery “Beograd” 2011. In the mentioned period he took part in numerous exhibitions in ex Yugoslav countries (Zagreb, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Banja Luka) as well as abroad: France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Syria, etc.
