To talk about the work of Julià Panadès is to talk about the ideological legacy of his parents, with their liberal attitude of the 60's generation, who achieved professional success in transpersonal disciplines, such as a psychologist-psychotherapist and a yoga teacher respectively, and were followers of the philosophy and practice of meditation, which gave him his agnostic and secular education.
J.Panadès´ work touches social and existential issues where criticism, identity and spirituality appear constantly. Julià Panadès combines uninhibitedly different mediums, as collage, painting, photography, video, and sculpture into his work. A constant in his work process is the use of recycled or inexpensive materials, in harmony with his social and ecological consciousness and as a critique of elitist art.
His work is a constant game of ambivalence. His work evokes, through a simple technique, the contemporary and traditional.
