John Pompeo

I’m a self-taught artist and musician … have been as long as I can remember. Becoming a professional artist has been the joyful culmination of a lifelong search for peace and spiritual fulfillment. The meandering river that has been my professional trajectory has taken me from medical research, and biotech, and the Pharmaceutical industry as a biochemist…to being signed to an indie-label with my band…to owning a decorative painting business…and finally to fine art. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to explore what being an artist means to me and to be able to touch the lives of others through my work. Life is good.

My favorite comment someone gave me at a show was: “You have great harmony with the subjects and colors that you choose . . .When I view your work, you can laugh, but it seems that there is sound with each piece, and it is almost as if I could hear music.”
