Johnny Stern

I am Johnny Stern and I was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1959. At an early age, I was captivated by nature and by art, and especially by the arts of painting and photography. I studied painting for four years with Adam Beckerman, one of the most well-known painters in Israel.
A few years later, I studied computer engineering, and my career eventually focused on business development and technology entrepreneurship, and I founded several leading software companies in various fields.
2018 was the year when I decided it was time for a change in my life and I returned to what I love, photography and in particular nature photography.
Being an artist is something one is born to do and not something that one learns in school. I went on to study photography through practical experience, trial and error, and self-study. Several of my works have been published in magazines and won international awards since 2018.
My passion and vision is to reveal to people the beauty, charm and fragility of nature. I believe my way of conveying the message is through artistic nature photography as photography can be both fine art and a powerful vehicle for storytelling.
