Juergen Zahn

Born 3rd February 1961 in Hockenheim, Germany.
Living and working in Mannheim/Germany

I have studied national economics at the university of Heidelberg with the result that I am a graduated national economist - which has basically nothing to do with my artist vita.

Looking at my artist career I am a pure autodidact.
I started painting approximately at the age of 10.

In the age of 14 I started to paint with colored crayons, India ink and water on paper and carton.

In the beginning of my 20th I had my first small exhibitions in the popular pubs of Mannheim. During that time I was heavenly influenced by the New-Wave Scene and I started to make music with friend.

The combination of music and painting was something essential to me.

2010 was the year of a new start.

Together with my wife Anna. I began using "new" techniques: scratching, scraping, wiping ...

Successful exhibitions at the police headquarter in Mannheim (2010) and at the "Immopark Neuhofen" (2011 - an industrial park near Speyer).
2012 Participation at the "ART Wiesloch" (an Art fair in the small city of Wiesloch near Heidelberg),
Exhibition at the " Klapsmühle Mannheim" (a well-known cabaret in Mannheim) and in April 2019 at the "Steubenhof" Hotel Mannheim.
After that we were searching for new exhibition possibilities, but due to Corona we have not been very successful.
