JULIANA PLEXXO (Colombia 1994)

Drawing inspiration from Oswaldo Guayasamín, Latin American indigenous culture, and the wild nature of her homeland, Juliana Plexxo is a Colombian artist making waves in Barcelona. Known for her distinctive mix-media and copperplate engravings, she joined the legendary Joan Barbará workshop "Studio 46" in 2019. Juliana's unique approach involves destroying her plates after creation, a technique that guarantees the exclusivity of each piece.

Showcased in diverse locales, from Miami's Art Basel week to Quito's “La Capilla del Hombre Museum,” her work is a testament to the harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary art. Juliana's exhibitions in Barcelona, Monaco and diverse art fairs and exhbitions across the Americas and Europe further highlight her ability to bridge the past with the present, cementing her role as a transformative figure in the art world.
