Initiated by a near-death experience, I have become obsessed with thoughts of mortality and overcome with an irrational fear of the unknown. My investigations into the spiritual and paranormal realms, though earnest, have proven to be fruitless, so it is through mindful repetitive action, simple forms and simple tools that I attempt to gain knowledge and recognition of my place within the natural continuum.
I utilize a vast collection of imagery depicting various human struggles, then compose the images and stitch them in a manner that democratizes humanity. This speaks to the greatest equalizer itself, death. It is through the combinations of chaos and order, simplicity and sophistication, and study and intuition that my work has become a meditative study of life, death and the unknown.
