Karen Reeder

The mountains of New Mexico are my home. After working in colored pencil for twenty years, I made a small side-journey to design, produce and sell a line of clothing. Now I have returned to my love of art.
My paintings achieve a rich depth of jewel-like color. The subjects draw you in and open your mind to a world of sensuous make-believe. When looking at my work, I want the viewer to be moved somewhere in the sub-conscience by the haunting quality of a special memory, a lost mood,
or the tantalizing fringes of a dream.
