Kasia Polkowska

I am a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on landscape painting, working in acrylics. I paint as a response to my love and fascination with the Western landscape which I enjoy exploring and discovering on foot while hiking, taking road trips and camping.

Locally, I am inspired by panoramic mountain views of the nearby mountains and the surrounding nature as well as the night sky which is sprinkled with more stars than one can see in most places around the country.

The cycle of the 4 seasons in Colorado provide me with more inspiration than an artist can dream of. Spring into Summer is abundant in wild flowers and vivid colors that transition to a golden Autumn that culminates in a Winter wonderland that nourishes the landscape to start anew.

With each painting, I combine impressions taken from nature with a dream world from my imagination which I explore with color and line to create each unique composition that I love sharing with other nature and art enthusiasts.

Between 2005 to Present, I participated in various gallery shows (group and solo) in New York,
Chicago, Vermont, Colorado, Poland and Australia – places such as galleries, museums, event
centers, restaurants and coffee shops. Most recently I am showing my work locally via the Two Old Crows Gallery in Pagosa Springs, CO where I live. Most of the work that I’ve created since graduating from
University has sold and is in private collection across the US, Canada, Poland and the UK.

From 2017-Present, I began to participate in Outdoor Public Sculpture Exhibits throughout
Colorado, including Colorado Springs, Carbondale, Alamosa and Auroro. My Public Work has won
various People's Choice Awards and has been purchased for private collections.

From 2018-Present my sculpture work has been on permanent display in the Mystic Valley Sculpture Park in Mosca, CO.
