EDUCATION

"The Katerina"/ "Eva Katerina" is a Fine Artist, Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Art Researcher based in Cyprus and the UK.

Katerina is a polymath and in addition to Art and Design, she is greatly interested in classical studies, history, geopolitics, environmental and social issues, amongst other subjects. Her diverse range of interests and her versatile approach are reflected in her Art. She is inspired by multiple themes and ideas, and she carries out rigorous research for each project. She experiments with a wide range of styles and techniques using both traditional analogue and modern digital media for her Artworks.

Katerina creates both Abstract and Representational Art. Her Abstract Artworks are energetic and restless and reflect her curiosity whilst her Representational Artworks are of experimental nature expanding from Realism to Surrealism.

As an Artist, she is essentially interested in creating Art that calls for the engagement of the audience to the same extent as her involvement in it. Katerina’s goal is to make people imagine and dream but also think through her Art. Katerina's Academic studies include: a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Graphic Design at Middlesex University London and a PhD (on-going) in Art and Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.

Katerina has also completed numerous courses covering Painting, Illustration, Digital Art, and Art History in addition to her formal academic courses.
