Katharina Sophia Ludewig

KATHA grew up in an artist family, start early to paint teached by his father. He has been a jewelry designer and gilder in the famous Green Vault in Dresden. Where the famous Remmo-Clan jewelry robbery took place in 2019.
She studied at Dresden Art Academy and developed her art into abstract works on leather, MDF, and large-scale paintings. Her signature technique, 'KATHAs Cutting Art,' invented in 2005, uses tape and a knife to cut out layers for painted surfaces, revealing precise patterns and details. She combines precision with freedom, evolving into cutting-edge Pop Art.
Since 2007, KATHA has been living and working in Dubai, where she was awarded the prestigious Golden Visa for Artists in recognition of her cultural contribution.
Her work is a bridge between her German art roots and global contemporary aesthetics, continuously refined in Dubai.
In the meanwhile her large-format paintings are sealed with epoxy resin, on every layer would bepainted on. A finishing technique that preserves the layered three-dimensional depth of her artworks.
