I had private art lessons as a child and first exhibited my work when I was 10. I followed my parents' advice to study economics instead of art in college and have only recently gotten back into exhibiting my work. I find myself drawn to experimenting with textures in my work, although you will also see the influence of the surrealists, especially Magritte, in some pieces.

My degrees are not in art, although I have taken courses in trompe l'oeil, plein air, portraiture, sculpture, lithography, etc along the way. I have two master's degrees in cultural anthropology and ethics.
