Katy Sayers Green

Katy Sayers Green is a London-based fine artist whose work explores humanity’s fragile relationship with myth, mystery, and the natural world.

Through painting, Katy constructs visual topographies in which mythology and ecology converge, revealing humanity’s entanglement with nature as both a source of wonder and instability. Her practice is rooted in acts of witness, shaped by observing the environmental transformations that have unfolded throughout her lifetime.

Her paintings operate as rogue maps, tracing our precarious position within an ever-shifting terrain of climate volatility, biodiversity collapse, political instability, and cultural memory. Ancient stories become both sources of wisdom and frameworks through which to consider the uncertainties of the present and future. Each work charts relationships increasingly defined by rupture, occupying a liminal space between humanity and the ecosystems it inhabits.

Drawing on symbolism found in poetry, classical mythology, and religious narratives, Katy explores motifs that have long helped humanity orient itself within time, space, nature, and culture. Originally trained at the Ruskin School of Drawing & Fine Art, Katy most recently completed an MA at Central Saint Martins.
