Kazumi Onoue

Originally from Osaka, Japan, I started my creative path as I waited for my parents to come home from work by drawing but I started paint seriously after I had my children.
I've always embraced the idea of Wabi-sabi in my life, expression of “time frozen”, all things are impermanent, imperfect, incomplete and are in a constant state of never-ending dissolving into nothingness”. Though things wabi-sabi may be extremely faint, fragile or desiccated, they still possess undiminished poise and strength of character and beauty within.
I wish to take viewers a journey to explore an object in its passage through time and understanding that all things are in a constant state of becoming or dissolving back into earth”.
