Kris Davis has been creating, selling, and showing art for over 25 years. She enjoys combining media and embracing the oftentimes unexpected results. Kris uses a variety of materials including acrylic paint, pastel, ink, crayons, markers, reclaimed papers, charcoal, pencil, tempera paint sticks, fabric, and whatever else she finds interesting.
Kris uses mixed media, acrylic, and pastel to develop new techniques that highlight variation and shading and that layer colors and textures. She wants the viewer to see the shapes and forms in her work and then be drawn in for a closer look to discover the interesting layers and textures revealed beneath the surface. Her work has been exhibited in numerous shows across the Southeastern United States. She lives in Macon, Georgia.
