1974 BFA Kansas University Painting &Printmaking
Moved to Provincetown, MA. promptly.
Moved to Boston, MA Auto body worker and spray painter. Then graphics and negative stripping for an offset print shop in Newton, MA.
1975 Moved to Kansas City, MO Did black and white pen and ink drawings w/ some collage. Mixed media works on paper in a downtown studio, later in an abandoned elementary school. Airbrushed large acrylic "Energy Fields" on canvas.
1979 Design Coordinator for Hallmark Cards in the greeting card division. Hired based on my fine art portfolio. Started doing airbrush paintings that were quite ambitous. I also designed and built Formica laminated furniture at a case work factory on the weekends.
My airbrushed painting, "Have you Noticed?" got into a juried show at The Williams
Atkins Nelson Art Museum in Kansas City, MO. I was also creating faux cacti that were painted in lacquer like fender guitars. I designed and a series of silk screened t-shirts called Pocket Trash.
