Attila Kertesz

I was born 1961 in Miskolc and I create here also at the present. I have made my first photos using a roll film camera when I was eleven and followed this format loyally until 1999. First I educated myself from books and then as member of the photograph circle I learnt from my seniors. I owe a lot to my mentor, Ferenc Szabó master photograph and to my teacher, Miklós Juhász, internationally recognized photo artist. I obtained my professional qualification as photograph 1994. As of that day I have been active as photograph. During my work I use my best efforts to combine the sharp way of expression of the old masters being rich in details and my own style on the technical level of our days. During the last 22 years, due to the breath-taking development of photography I have witnessed several shifts of the technology. I have worked with a Linhof view camera and also with a Mamiya RB67 representing the top of the 6x7 cm technology and then 1999 I shifted to digital photography. Still before cameras with higher resolution CMOS sensor being suitable for snapshots appeared on the market, I have worked with a 25 mega pixel Camera-scan digital back plate prepared by myself (2000-2003).
